Going Overseas: May Conferences in Thailand & USA

Fujiseiki goes to SubCon/MFair in Thailand

For the third time, Fujiseiki participated in the annual SubCon and MFair trade shows in Thailand. Akihito Watai of the Global Division of our Japanese headquarters joined Mr. Kubata, the Fujiseiki Thai director, along with two other Fujiseiki Thailand employees.

Buyers and suppliers from many different industries attended. Their industries included automotive, manufacturing, construction, electronics, food processing, furniture, medical equipment, and aerospace. Thai’s SubCon/MFair attracts nearly 500 exhibitors from around the world and over 25,000 guests.

When asked about the expo, Watai said, “It was very hot in Thailand. But I was able to connect with some potential clients at the event, so it was worth it.”

Fujiseiki attends the AMR conference in Washington, D.C

CEO Atsushi Shindo and Global Division’s William Straley traveled to Washington D.C for the U.S. Department of Energy’s Hydrogen and Fuel Cells Program 2019 Annual Merit Review (AMR). Hydrogen and fuel cell projects funded by the Department of Energy are publicly presented and reviewed, making it a good opportunity to learn more about the progress of fuel cell research and its implementation. In addition to sitting in on presentations about hydrogen fuel cells, it was a chance to meet other professionals in the industry.

“There is still a lot of things to overcome in terms of the Fuel Cell industry, but the excitement was palatable when listening to the speakers,” Straley commented.

Fujiseiki’s current research into hydrogen fueling infrastructure is part of our larger goal to better the environment. We work to stay knowledgeable about current trends and events in the hydrogen fuel world and hope to implement our developing technology there in the future.
